Camera operator/videographer/editor

I am a camera operator first, as I love to make beautiful images and empower people to feel and look their best on camera. I am experienced with a smaller Canon 5D or a larger Sony PDW camera.

My full time freelance career is heading into its 20th year, and it doesn't matter to me if it's live sports that will air on NBC, TSN, or Rogers Sportsnet or a short documentary that will only be seen on the web.

I love live sports of any kind and I believe that I am a team player that thrives in challenging and new situations. This is probably why I love the Winter and Summer Olympic work that I have been doing since 2010. The constant raw emotion that is experienced while covering athletes on the largest sports stage in the world is always a huge challenge and a great thrill.

I also do ENG camera work with a boom op or as a solo operator. I love lighting a really great interview set-up and letting the interviewer pull out the story.

You can't be one dimensional in this day and age so I have been editing video with Final Cut Pro since 2002, producing promotional and training videos for clients such as the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the B.C. Lottery Corporation.

I started taking pictures at the age of 12 when I received a camera for Christmas. I took as many high school media courses as I could, and that's when my passion for creating images really took off. The dark room was my friend for most of high school. When I'm not working, I can be found on the North Shore mountains, hiking or biking. I love to travel and discover new places with my family.
